The benefits of storytelling
Storytelling is a powerful part of early childhood learning. Through listening, participating and creating, children build language, imagination, confidence and social skills. And it does not always need to be a book. Puppets, songs, photographs, natural materials and a little imagination can bring a story to life just as well.
